So today I shot off 4 more fletchings! Not even at 20 yards. I was at 30 and 40 when it happened. Until I can get to the bow shop I only have 3 usable arrows out of 10 not counting 2 bare shafts. Starting to get annoying and I really need to invest in a fletching jig.

I like them, but since I went to four fletchings I've noticed a difference. Over time the quick fletch would cost more than buying a jig, glue and fletchings.

How about not aiming at the same spot with more than one arrow :)

Yeah, but my target is complete crap so I have limited spots to aim at. The only thing holding it together is some string. I need a new one.

My targets last a long time since I don't practice much :)

I shoot everyday. I used to be decent when I first started, then a few years after I got target panic and struggled. This year I'm really pushing myself to get really good and so far it's going great.

I too was damaging my arrows by not using my 13 year old Morrell bag target. Now it's in my truck all the time. Go to Fleet Farm, Gander Mountain, Cabela's, or even a ****s Sporting Goods and get some kind of durable target. It will pay for itself in only a few practice sessions.

I plan on getting some sort of bag target. I have a old Morrell foam target that has six different layers and they're starting to fall apart.

MissionBlaze, it's the little things in this hobby that keeps me dropping into my local pro shop a couple times a month. Peep tube replacement, re-fletching of arrows, kisser buttons, bow wax, and of course some more arrows. Archery is still cheaper than golf though.
