Have any of you checked out these crazy little things. I have to admit, that I'm intrigued but very skeptical. For one, I don't like that you can't really paper tune your arrows with them on, but I do think the idea is kind of neat...

The FOB <-- Check it out.

Any one have experience with them?

Guys on AT PRAISE these little guys (almost on the verge of putting them on a pedestal :D). From those who use them, they love them. In fact, I believe someone was shooting these down at the Florida ASA last weekend, and either won his class, or placed quite high. Anyways, I'm sure they work well, but I don't like the idea that they pop off everytime you have a passthrough, nor can you shoot any type of full containment rest (not that I do, but it's still a downfall). I don't find it that difficult to fletch, and I prefer the look of fletching, and it's durability. The concept is certainly legitimate, and they've been used long enough to prove that they're effective, but I don't care for them.

I tried some FOBs that someone gave me. Thw arrows flew well enough but I couldn't get past the fact that they fall off at pass through. My bright fletching will help me find my arrow. A FOB won't. That was enough for me to give them away.

Turbo Nocks and FOBs are unrelated idw.

I don't find either as an improvement on feathers, Blazers nor most vanes.

I doubt any fletching is really "better" when the bow and arrow are tuned together correctly. So, if nothing is better, then ya gotta go for cool and nothing, IMO, is cooler than feathers :d .

Edit to add: You also need to go for more forgiving too and, IMO, nothing is more forgiving than feathers :d .

    Particularly barred feathers.

I guess however, I'm not cool. :d I did have feathers AND Blazers in my quiver last fall though. I shot 2 of the 3 deer with feathers, 2 with the same arrow. :d

I was thinking about trying them out. Then, I found out they wiegh about 25 grains each. I'm just not that into the extra weight compared to my 8 grain feathers (all three combined). However, they do seem to fly great!

My friend tried them much to my protest. They flew quite well but were extremely noisy during flight. Also may get pinched by bow string at full draw which may cause problems. In the end my buddy got sick of em always coming off and now shoots blazers.
