I shoot a 2007 Bowtech Tribute and I have noticed that when I shoot either 2" or 4 " fletchings that they are striking the cable and in the winter the fletchings are cold and less flexible, they are actually ripping in half. Not as bad with the 4", but still take a beating. I am not sure how long 2" vanes have been around, but don't remember them until after I bought the bow, but wondering if the bow was ever designed for 2 " vanes back in 2007? I have tried turning the position of the nock so there is clearance, but then they catch part of my drop away rest. Is this something I can buy a new cable guide to get more clearance, just deal with the noise and shoot 4"; any other suggestions would be helpful? I have noticed a lot of noise and a slight fish tail off the bow, but at 10 yards out to 45 yards I am grouping rather well (touching out to 2" pending the distance I am shooting.) Left to Right seems dead on, when I turn the nock it seems up and down its hitting where I want as well, but the nock is up about 5-10 degrees at the time the arrow strikes the target- not sure if its the striking of the vane on the arrow drop or if I need to shoot more wt (450 at 65 lbs and 30" draw). Any suggestions or thoughts would be helpful.
i turn the arrow 1/4 of inch, this was fletchling will clear, i never had a problem before but noticed it was VERY cose to cables. And with a drop away wont hinder arrow flight.
Your rest doesn't need to move over some does it? I had this issue with my Centroid due to the TI glide system. I shot paper an needed to move the rest. I did so and it fixed the issue.
Even with proper center shot some of those 07/08 Bowtechs had trouble clearing .5 inch high vanes. I cocked mine an 1/8th to a 1/4 and with a drop away I had zero issues.
