I want to try a new mineral this year. I have been using the QDMA mix the last few years with some others mixed in and haven't had much luck. I was going to try Luck Buck since I have a few friends that have good results with it, but I see it is apple flavored. I was looking for something I can put I the ground as well as pour over some stumps. My problem is the bear in the area seen to also enjoy flavorful things. I've tried the flavored blocks and the bear wouldn't leave them alone, so should I expect the same with a flavored granular mineral also. Any suggestions on what to put out other thank just salt that won't be a big hit with the bear but will be with the deer?

Not the same product, but last year I was using a Trophy Rock (I don't think it's flavored sweetly) and I had a bear on the camera. Only one time all summer long though.

I think Trophy Rock makes some form of dump out mineral. I will say this though, the TR had a ton of deer on the camera all summer. For me, it was like a deer magnet. Your results may vary.

Trophy Rock is almost pure salt... That's why it is a magnet.

A lot of guys here use Monster Raxx (including myself) and have had excellent luck with it. I also use a plain salt block as well as a cattle mineral block.

There is a big difference between attractants (high salt) and minerals. The interchangeable use of the two is one of my biggest hunting pet peeves.

I tried the Monster Raxx two years ago and the deer didn't seem interested which is why I was looking for something besides the home mix I have been using. However the bear are also an issue.
