I use a first light tomahawk. Very bright on high setting. I like the red light and only use the high setting if needed. Very small and easy to use with weapons like pistols. All around great light.
For hand helds I like the surefire 6PX and the older G2led. Bright, good run times and tough. Stream light polytac LED is also a good one for the money. Inforce for mounted applications
Depends what your using if for..I like to use as little light as possible getting to stand ...cheap not so bright brim/cap lights are good for this..hands free.. especially with red or green lens...I also have 1400 + lumen lights all over the house, truck, hunt pack, etc. Those cheap cree rechargables work awesome!
I prefer a bright light going to and from the stand, to make sure I don't get shot by some joker that shoots at the sound of something walking through the woods. There's also a ton of honeysuckle bush where I hunt, so that may be a factor for me to have a very bright flashlight to make sure I don't get shot by some idiot. I have a $40 light that I picked up at Gander that is 200 lumens on highest setting. It also has a low setting (which is still really bright) and an S.O.S. setting. I have a cap light for getting into and out of the stand once I actually make it to the tree.
I use a everready head light, it has red and clear leds, is bright enough for me, I also carry an old school AA mini mag in a holster on my belt, cost me about 10 bucks and works perfect for me.
I own 10 cree T6 flashlights. 1500LM LED super powerful and cheap if you look on ebay. If you take a old laptop battery pack apart and there are about 12 batteries in there but before you take it apart charge it up first. I also have some headlamps from them too. 1800Lm CREE XM L T6 LED Adjustable Zoom Headlamp Headlight Torch Wall Charger | eBay I don't have this model with the adjustable zoom but its the same as the one I have. Plus it comes with a charger too and now you can charge those 18650 batteries too aka laptop ones. I love theses flashlight. I used them for camping, ice fishing and have 2 in all my cars.

I use a maglite XL200 200lumen LED. This thing is SUPER bright. I use it for everything from getting out if the woods to spotlighting carp 4ft down with it mounted on my bow. My dad got it from Grainger for me for less than $50.
Streamlight ProTac HL Tactical LED Flashlight 88040 600 Lumens. Great flashlight for the money. Very bright, compact and it comes with a belt case. Streamlight Tactical Protac HL LED Flashlight 600 Lumens 88040 with Batteries 080926880405 | eBay I also like the Bushnell HD Torch Flashlight. Bushnell HD Torch Flashlight 100400C B&H Photo Video
For hunting an most everything around the house I use a Browning Maxus. It has red and green high/low. The white LED has adjustable beam, 4 brightness settings and a strobe setting. I don't remember the lumens but, the green is bright enough when I get within 50yd or so from my stand I just switch on the green and use it to set up. I use the red if I need light once set up sitting in the stand before day light. It works great. I believe it was between $40-$50.
My hunting light is a 10$ ozark 100 lumen from Walmart. Works great, and gives off a little more of a yellow led which makes blood trailing easier. I have a 590 defiant LED for the vehicle that I got from Home Depot for 30 bucks. Just could never I mean ever spend more then 100 bucks on a flashlight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yeah a hundred bucks for a flashlight for hunting or everyday use is crazy but I just about bought a new light for firefighting that is easily over a hundred, thats a totally different topic though lol
Best flashlight I have owned not bulky at all. TerraLUX TLF-3002AA-BK LightStar300 3-Watt LED Aluminum Flashlight, Titanium Grey - Amazon.com Also try the lightstar 80 no bigger then an ink pen
You can ask Bin Laden how well Surefire flashlights work....Oh, that's right, no you can't. You can't go wrong with Surefire. It's an investment, but if you don't lose it, it's not gonna break. But you're gonna drop at least $200
Best light for hunting I've ever owned. Browning Nitro Red LEDs for walking in/put of stand. Blue LEDs I don't use. White light for blood trailing or finding dropped items. And Spot for finding my canoe landings
I use a small recharable flashlight that fits in my cigarette lighter of the truck for getting to my stand in the dark and for a backup light during those tracks which ended up perhaps being a bit longer than anticipated. For tracking I love a nice bright white light, not that icky yellowish light, so I use a small 5.11 flashlight. One that I have runs off a AA battery. Another simialr one I have runs off of one of those ABC 123 batterys. Both are great with a lock out cap so theres no accidental tuning on the light in my pocket; both have a bright setting and a secondary dim setting. Both have a metal clip, rubber piece along the tail cap, and optional wrist strap. Its a great light, and I end up doing alot of tracking throughout deer season for my friends...Streichers is one place that carries a great selection of different brands of lights and they are pretty knowledagble and helpful. End of the day, its going to depend on what you are looking for and what you are going to use most for your ligting purposes. Good luck!!
