It was a pretty cool pic but there's no such thing as too many cameras.

I'd go low glow or blackflash. Red Blob or flash doesn't seem to bother young bucks but from what I've seen once I get a big buck with flash or red blob I never get them again.

Looks like you have a IR xtender hooked up to that Covert!

Actually I have 2 cameras set up a Flash and an IR they both went at the same time making this pic. I thought it was pretty neat.

I have no issues with Flash spooking big bucks an can show anyone that wants plenty of pics of the same mature buck. maybe it has something to do with them having their pictures taken with flash cameras since they were fawns :D

All deer act differently from one area to another. Where I hunt you will never see a buck in a open field. If you happen upon one, even a yearling, they will run like crazy. I think that's due to a lot of poaching that went on for years and still does to some point. I got a 142" 8 pointer one time on a Cuddeback flash on a trail and never got another pic of him again on that trail. I ended up getting him with a bow a month or so later.....:)

    Cool pictures.

You could be REAL cool and have a cam that does both (IR at night, and color day photos):D

I've been using trail cams since they first come out. My first one was a stealth cam that used 35mm film, man that got expensive! In my experience it does seem as if the flash does spook older bucks. In a two week period I would have several pics of younger bucks, but usually only one of a mature buck.

Enjoy your pictures Pat like always, pretty rare to have two cameras go off at once. When I picture your property I picture walking through at night and being like walking into a land mine of cameras, poor deer don't have a chance. I'm going to be picking up some Covert Revel cams this spring to put on my three food plots, I've found IR cameras don't seem to have the range for food plots like the flash do, look forward to my first Covert Cam. Thanks for sharing.

You can have a Covert Deuce or SG560D, that have both IR and Flash. So whatever is better, you got both.
