I figured it was something you and Bill Herrmann came up with to pass the time in the WBH booth at DeerFest.

I spent very little time in the booth. When I did, I think Bill was only there for a few minutes. My mission on Saturday was to gather intel on WI hunting companies and products like I do at all hunting shows. Shaking hands and talking to people, networking, being a community organizer and Chatty Cathy.

He was probably out gathering intel on the chicks in each of the booths.

You know him well. Somebody sent a young and good looking early 20 something to talk to me. Seems she wants to be the next big female bowhunting TV personality. I asked her how many bow kills she had and how many species and she said she killed one deer back in 2005.

She reminded me of Laura Franchese, After talking to Laura on the phone and then in person after we signed her to speak, we learned she was all show and little substance. Bill is a ladies man for sure.

Yes he is. Known him a long time. He spent many days at my resort in Ontario with me running bear baits, skinning bears, having a few beers and cigars and just shooting the ****. We did a little fishing too.

Here he is with Laura Franchese. He is an old sly dog. Good guy.

If you were to hire her to speak and address a group of bowhunters and talk about bowhunting and her hunting experiences, you would. If your goal is to simply stare at her, then no, it wouldnt matter.

I can confirm that Bill is a great guy. He was very helpful when I was up at Dan's place doing some bear hunting. Down to earth and always willing to just shoot the breeze.

I love how at the end at of the day when the work is all done, he will sit there and look at you and say, " I think its, (slight pause) beer time".

Dan probably knows what I'm talking about. I think he said it once everyday we were in camp. Halarious!

    HAHAHA

In between bait runs we would have one beer and a cigar. Then, if no hunters were in camp, he would say "I think its cocktail hour." Of course, we had to have another cigar to go along with his Old Fashioned.

I know him as a highball drinker more than a beer drinker.

All I had was beer. I don't blame him for taking it from me since I was offering, haha

    Who doesn't like free booze???

I agree though, he preferred highballs or whiskey for that matter.
