It's just the way you said it and lashed out reminded me of a tantrum, someone trying to get what they want by lashing out. Anyways though the cutting diameter should not be a problem as long as you get a well placed shot on the vitals, the only problem is that they can not really get that sharp due to the "thick" blades. That's why I recomend the muzzy trocar because they have the same cut diameter and will shave the hair right off your arm no problem and fly amazing! Here is a video on a bear with the trocars that would sell me on them. But if would be practicing shooting a lot too, practice at what you may think is far, 40, 50, or 60 yards, so that 20 or 30 yarder is a breeze. Here's the link to the video hope this helps your decision https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=xLdR-ksEu9o
Probably late with this since it sounds like you may have had your question answered. Me, I would be concerned with how a mechanical might perform with thick bear fur, fat, etc over a fixed blade. A smaller diameter head may also prove to work better, they work exceptionally well on elk. I can appreciate you not wanting to search it out on previous posts/replys, who has time for that? There is always someone willing to share info for the first or thirtieth time.
That's interesting about a smaller cutting diameter, and it makes sense to try and sneak past the ribs with a smaller size . I know that a decent setup will cut right through them but why slow the arrow down if you don't have to. Awesome point man would have never thought about it thanks Jon Kyle
I really hope you aren't directing this towards me. The reason my dog is in my profile picture is because I lost him last week to cancer. And who are you saying doesn't hunt? Drop your smug attitude there tough guy.
Oh I forgot about these little devils, these are so flippin sharp you NEED a broadhead wrench to put them on or you will cut yourself, never tried them personally but have seen all kinds of people try and screw these on and get cut real good by them.
honestly things may be beat to death.... but it is nice to read about stuff that is newly written. also I find that many forums I join recently like to bash someone in to a search engine. what the heck is wrong with giving simple advice other than you are simply being a jerk to tell someone to look elsewhere. why even waste the time clicking on the thread to give it the time of day. you make yourself, and the people who agree, appear to be an uninviting member. I wonder how many of the thousands of posts that have been made to simply go look else where.
