I was looking for some input on quality fixed blade broadheads. I used to shoot muzzy 3 blade 100 gram, but was'nt too happy with the blood trails. I then switched over to Rage expandables they were great but i want to get back to fixed blades just to take out any possible chance for expanding failure, and to get more penetration. Let me know what you've found i would like a fixed blade that creates a good blood trail

    Thanks, and happy hunting

Look into the toxic broad heads. They look pretty wicked and should make a great blood trail. Penetration might be the only thing that might not work.

I'm in the market for new fixed heads as well... Not happy with my grim reapers.

Take a look at slick tricks. I have used them in the past and ive heard good things about them. I currently use swhackers which work fantastic but if I were to use fixed heads I would go with the slick tricks.

I picked up a pack of Solid 100 gr.broadheads this year and by far the best fixed heads I have ever shot. Got them after the season ended so have not had a kill with them yet.

By gosh they should be at $80 for 3!

I've had good luck with slick tricks but I think the blood trail has a lot to do with where its hit. I think if you put a muzzy or a slick trick in the same place the blood trails will be very similar.

QAD Exodus are great heads. They fly true and are tough as heck. No complaints from me so far on them.

I hear a lot of good things about the Slick Tricks and I am thinking of switching from my Rage 2 blades.

Don't feel comfortable with the Rages for my upcoming Moose hunt and want to stay consistent with the setup for all hunts so just going ahead and switching now.

A shoulder hit on a rutting January Alabama buck about a month ago left a bad taste in my mouth too being my first lost deer ever (my fault for a bad shot but I can't help but think a stout fixed blade would have punched through with the KE and momentum my setup is slinging...)

Most of all just looking to tinker around with a change. (Upping poundage, new strings, eliminating lighted nocks due to laws in MT, etc)
