You going to post a hero photo of that buck? Sorry, my season is over so I have to live vicariously through other's hunts haha
Nice buck! The snow covered trees really do a great job of framing in the deer and the hunter. Good luck to you if you get out in th am!
I'll be sitting out tomorrow am, back in the outlet again. Yesterday at noon, Evander crossed the dam to the E side. Hope to catch him coming back. My mom is up for two nights, so I'm going to take tomorrow night off.
Cutting them off tomorrow His head was the stinkiest! Realistically, I have 4 days to get it done for the MN rut. I leave Thursday for WI. We'll see what happens.
Let's play a little Good News/Bad News. Good news- beautiful ride across the lake this morning with Orion starting to set in the West. Bad news- quite a bit more blustery than I was hoping. Had to fight some rollers, even with the trolling motor. Good news- that wind is out of the SSE which is great for my scent in the outlet. Don't have to worry about deer crossing in their usual spots winding me. Bad news- busted ice on the way in. About 80 yards or so, then it opened back up at the dam with the flowing water.
Good news- the wind may have covered some of the racket of me and my ice breaking canoe. Bad news- I'm only hunting a half day today. Good news- Evander has crossed here 5 times in the last 6 days. All but one of which where at shooting light in the first 1/2 of the day.
