All done. Pulled the card on my cam and got that same sticking tall and narrow 8 pt early this AM. He's pushing his luck!
Frustrating. You ever put a cam over a scrape ? Reason I ask is I just moved one over a scrape a couple nights ago. Nice 8 came in to work it and it was shaping up to be some nice footage. Then he saw the cam and it scared the crap out of him. Just wondering if you've had any success with it.
I have one on a mock scrape on the ridge up behind the lodge right now. In the past, for some reason, I haven't had much luck.
OK, getting everything all set today. My brother and father-in-law are up. They, along with my dad will be hitting the woods with rifles in the AM. My FIL will be right behind the Lodge in a ground blind we put up for him. My brother will be in his stand across the lake in Buster's neighborhood. Dad will be in his tripod that he shot at that 8 pt from last Wednesday. Me? I'm going to head to the backside of Lone Wolf Ridge, behind the Lodge and hunt over the mock scrape I set up there when Nick was here. Bucks are definitely moving all around and the orange army will only increase their movements. After tomorrow, I'm going to head south to the Grassy Bench I sat on Sept 30th. That camera has had the most variety of bucks on it. Including one from the card pull today. He showed up on the 30th & 31st Another huge 8, this one with a split G2
