Tore the stand down when I left. If I hunt there again, I need to sit in a different tree so I can see the cut better.
Forecast held true. I'm headed to the stand in the North Shore. The wind is going to be perfect for some action up there! Hoping I can get out and in the tree as early as last time. One hour before light would be great. They like to move early up there. I have to say, I have high hopes and a good feeling about tomorrow morning's hunt!
I do on occasion, but not a lot. I've only ever rattled one in once. After that buck passed me yesterday I rattled at him. He stopped briefly and looked back. Then kept on his merry way.
Had a deer blow to my N as I was setting up. Most likely a doe, but not exactly how I wanted things to start.
Passed on 3. Shot at one twice (Whister in '12 on Halloween I missed and a week later I hit him in the shoulder, but he survived) had Blade close a couple times with no shot.
You are a patient man. I'm not sure I could handle that long of dry spell. Keep at it and keep the post coming I have enjoyed.
