I'm back at it this evening. I set up in the outlet tonight. Right next to my Shortstack stand from last year (the one that's 5' high). This time I'm tucked in a pine at about 18'. I think I'll call it the Tall-Stack stand.

The outlet is a creek about 60 yards long between our lake and the big swamp pond we flow into. If something want to travel E to W without swimming or walking 1 or 2 miles out of the way, this is where they'll come.

Here's the view out front, in what is pretty much my only shooting lane.

Here's my 9, a tiny opening In the thick brush. Not sure if I'll be able to shoot here or not.

And here's a peak behind me towards the swamp.

Pretty slow so far. Muskrat, blue & grey jays, red squirrels...

I'd like to see something a bit bigger.

I don't have it set up there this year. When I took it down this spring, I stepped through the lodge in two different spots :busted:

I most likely won't until the last couple days of Oct. Unless of course I get some trailcam intel that changes my mind.

No, I've been on a huge dry spell on bucks. The last set of pics I have of Buster he was still in velvet.

I think I'm going to head across and sit along the inlet creek tonight, where I sat opening evening. I can check my cam that's there too when I'm done. I'd love to get another pic of Count Rugen. I guess we'll see :tu:
