I haven't said. I tried looking online and the website had an error. I know others that have gotten letters saying they drew. I haven't so I'm figuring it's a negative.
Just curious why you set up facing the way you did. Why didn't you want a lane at your 9 o'clock? Wouldn't that make the easiest shot for a right handed shooter? Or is it a little different when you have a camera set?
Two reasons. First, it is harder to film at your 9 because the camera arm will have to wrap all the way around you to get the shot. Second, and more importantly, I needed to be on that side of the tree to have good cover from the pine I was next to.
Got ya. I knew you would have some legit reasons was just curious what they were. And awesome job capturing the sounds of the pack.
Ok, I'm back up in the same stand as last night. Got a late start since the wife and I did a day trip into the BWCA today. I cheated and brought the pontoon tonight. Figured with this wind it'd be just as quiet.
All set and ready to go. I'm wondering with the slashing and howling if the wolves got a kill last night. I'll know for sure if they come back. Hopefully in front of my lens!
Last year during my bear hunt, my dad had 2 wolves go past within 25 yards. One was all black, the guides wanted that one. Right across from the BWCA from you or pretty close.
We have a young black female running around here. I have a bunch of trailcam pics of her. I call her Smokey.
I've just been trying to catch up again with your season journal. Just like last season journal, it's really enjoyable to read. Awesome pictures of the elk hunting trip and great writing. Even tho you weren't able to arrow an elk, seemed to be a great trip. That's what hunting trips are all about, tagging something is just a sweet bonus good luck deer huntin!
