Back to the boat. I like the tree and set up there a lot better than last time I was there. Should be good as long as I can make the trip across the lake!

Alright, I'm all set for the day. Took longer to get in than expected. Even with highs in the mid 40s yesterday and a low for the last couple hours or 28, there was a skim of ice over 2/3 the lake.

It wasn't a quiet or quick commute.

We'll see how the AM goes. If I'm not going to be able to get over here much longer, I may just have to sit all day.

Winds are swirly and dad wants to take his boat out this afternoon. I'm gonna head in.

One red squirrel and a raven. Pretty slow morning.

We'll have to see what plan I hatch next.

Since I was going to pull Dad's boat, I figured I'd pull the pontoon and the last dock too. So no more boating across unless it opens wide up and I can throw the canoe back in. I think it'll freeze up soon. Then, after WI season, I can bike or snowmobile across :tu:

While I was putting the pontoon up on the back hill, I kept catching a waft of deer. Then it hit me to check something, and I was right. The scrape under the big red pine by our old garden was fresh! Hasn't happened since Count Chocula was taunting me.

There are now two cameras on said scrape

Man I cant believe how dark his rack is. Blade didnt look that dark, also you think he went down in size a little from last year? Congrats to both you and your brother, amazing story coming to a end.

I think he did go down some in size. Over all mass he may have added but he definitely lost some character.
