wow..Fitz that's some awesome background info on this spot!! I love the history you have up there. I would say definitely check out the lodge if DNR says its ok too!
Fitz, Just wanted to let you know that Chase and I are gearing up for our adventure with you and those monster bucks!!! Can't wait to get up there in a couple of weeks, get the stands in place and get some filming done. We have been busy sorting through our gear and tuning the bows....and all I can say is.....let's do this!!!>>>>>>> Thanks again for the opportunity!! Todd
Thanks Matt...we can't wait to show everyone this beautiful part of Minnesota and share Fitz's story on these bucks!!! We'll take all the luck we can get!!!>>>>>
Frost warnings over night tonight. I'd love to see some of these skeeters die! Tomorrow I'm swapping out the cam in the pond for a black flash. Then I'll move the one there to another spot. I'll have 5 cams out now, plus I put one of my dad's out while he's on vacation flyfishing in WY. Gonna have to move the one stand I leave out year round. The tree it's in just isn't going to work with the new high water mark in those ponds. I'm hoping to have that done before the Larson boys get up here. If I can just get through this week busy week for the resort, my available time to play in the woods should start to increase
Haha you could if you really wanted to see what going on. I plan on sneaking in the truck and hitching a ride to Minnesota for a fall trip lol
Ended up getting some gear in the mail today! Ready to head up to the property to help with stands and scouting! Fitz is it a go with the beaver pond??!?
I see how it is. Trying to exile the guy from Illinois lol I will make it up there alone and raise hell. In all seriousness though I wish you guys the best of luck and I hope you guys get some big bucks on the ground while they are there.
Haven't hear back from the DNR yet. My groundblind is in the dumpster, but if we get greenlighted, I'll buy a new one What'd you get in the mail?
Not sure if anyone remembers, but this is the same spot where my buddy Nick & I had a beaver respond to a doe bleat! Funniest thing I've ever seen & heard in the woods.
