    Alrighty, the wind forecast has been all over, but it looks to have stabilized in a NNW directions which is a green light for Whistler's Ridge.

    I'm off to get cleaned up and geared up. I'll post from the woods :tu:

    It's inly been 6 days since I sat out last, but the woods have changed. Leaves are dropping like crazy and it just smells like fall.

    Didn't rain as much over the last few day as they predicted, but the sun just peaked out for the first time in a while. I'm hoping the deer will want to get up on their feet under the nicer conditions.

    Only one video of a doe on the cam here. Between shooting that doe, and the neighbors being up all last week, I'm hoping that is the cause. They should move back in soon.

    Wind is perfect so far!

    Good luck Fitz....the last of the rain passed by us about 2 hours ago and a bunch of deer were moving up and down the drive - thinking you should be getting some activity to. Looks like your woods is maybe a touch ahead on the leaf fall than ours.

    Just noticed a fresh rub about 17 yards from my tree. I'd guess its most likely from the little 7 pt that frequents this spot.

    Either way, it's good to see :tu:

    Yeah. He was standing by the pine in the 1st photo. Also when I shot the doe this year. She was on the same trail he was on.

    Just heard a lone wolf howl to my NW. I'd guess 1200-1600 yards. Waiting for its pack mates to join in.
