Well, that sucks. But, that just gives you more time to focus on Blade.

Sorry you didn't get drawn for a wolf tag Fitz... Do you have a lot of wolves up there?

That sucks about the wolf tag. Do your odds increase each year you don't get drawn or is it a true random draw each year?

Very nice videos Fitz! I'd love to bowhunt some moose. Maybe one day. Also, that's a bummer on the wolf tag...

Yeah, we have quite a few around here. Always have with the large MN/Canadian wilderness to our North.

I believe so. Last year after not drawing, I got a notification that I have "1 preference point". So, now I should have two :tu:

I'm only mildly bummed about the wolf tag. For one, my wife doesn't really like the idea, and two, I'm not going anywhere. And neither are the wolves.

    Yeah, yeah, yeah... :tu:

I'll probably get out sometime during this week. Looks like the winds will be good Saturday for a sit back up on Whistler's Ridge. I really think that's where Blade will die. Though the outlet could prove me wrong!

Ok, I'm going to shower and sneak out for a quick sit in the outlet.

... This is all your fault John!

I'm in and set up. Wind is better than I thought. It really funnels down the inlet and moves from a SSE direction, even though the wind on the lake is blowing SW.

Pulled the card on dads cam in the way in...

Well, another quiet night. Just the usual suspects: beavers, ducks, sparrows, kingfisher. Thought I might have heard something way up on the ridge to my E. Figured I'd dip out before it was too late.

Probably won't get out until after fri. Winds suck and the neighbors near Whislters Ridge are staying there with 4 or 5 dogs. No thanks.

Potentially could head across the lake to the Killing Pond if the conditions align.

Funny you mention you saw a Kingfisher. We are starting to see them in south west (Greene County) Ohio. One visits our pond quite frequently now. Very cool to watch. Hell on the bluegills though!

I think I'll be out tomorrow night, as this front passes and the rain starts to lighten up. The high today is 43, low tonight is 36. Think the high tomorrow is 50.

The rain should start to taper in the afternoon. Winds will be good for a sit up on Whistler's Ridge. I just need to find out if the neighbors is going to be around with all their dogs. If so, I'll need to use the canoe and a round-about walk in the woods to get to my stand without the dogs finding out.

Sounds like a good setup tomorrow night. Go get'em man. Soon as the cool weather hits here, I plan on putting Flame on the ground! Don't let me beat you to it! ;)
