I read that it was because of the declining population.

 

Yeah the population has dropped over 30% in the last 2-3 years. There's a huge study going on right now to try and determine what's going on.

They actually collared 4 moose just S of our lake. I wouldn't be surprised to catch one of them on camera.

And here's the view of the dam tonight, sans trampoline.

 

Just had some wolves howling east of me. They were a ways off. Also been hearing something splashing in the pond behind me, but it's probably a beaver.

 

Is that camera location actually in that picture?

 

I may have totally missed it but did you draw a wolf tag?

It's on the end of the dam, right side. Can't see dad's cam, but you can see where he was standing.

 

Won't know until mid October.

 

Time to get down. Photo light is gone.

 

Definitely a fun stand to sit in. Always something going on.

That'll be the last sit until next week. Being busy will force me to let things cool off a bit. And that's not the worst thing.

I'll check my cam on Whistlers Ridge some time Sat or Sun. I'll let you know if I find something good

I should clarify, that photo and where I hunted tonight, is where I got the 1st cat pic and the daytime photo of Blade. The videos of the moose & cat are on a different dame about a mile and 1/4 away.

 

That's actually what I was asking and assumed you were talking about anyway.

 

I found out I got drawn today and picked mine up. Good luck for yours. Should maybe find out sooner, I'd think all sent at once.
