Can't wait for the blind to get here :tu:

Pulled cards yesterday. Nothing good. Bunch of does & fawns. A short clip of a bear's butt at the Killing Pond. Two dark pics of the wolf pups sniffing the old mineral site.

A few does on the cam by the ladder stand, and one unidentified body. I may reposition that cam next week.

11 days, 8 hours, 37 minutes and 34 seconds until legal shooting light

    :bhod:

Fitz, your journal was my first big read on the forums last year when I became a member and look forward to many years of it! Some beautiful country you have to hunt up there, I'm jealous! I'm really contemplating moving myself much further north when I retire from the Army in a few years! Speaking of DSLRs, I'm thinking of selling my Canon EOS 60D and all the stuff I have with it.

Well, I'm not jealous of your wolf population. You can keep those. I wanna be the only Apex predator in the woods I hunt. Unfortunately I have to compete with a small gaggle of mountain lions. Only one has been spotted in my area over the last few years so I'm not worried.

    Subscribed. Go get em Fitz.

Okay what's the point of a 3 pin sight if its going to be adjustable? Or are the 3 pins 10 yards difference which move together?

I have my 3 pins set at 20, 30 & 40. The 40 then becomes my floating pin.

I don't need to move my dial unless I want to shoot over 40 (99% of my hunting situations). I wanted the versatility of a floater without the hassle of have to dial from 10-40 yards. Especially if they are close.

Fitz do you partake in the Wolf hunt? I know it's a touchy subject up here, I always get funny looks and comments when I talk about it. Curious what your take is on it. I put in this year for a tag, which brought with it it's own drama. If I get drawn I'll be hunting up by Isabella or the Togo area.

Im still a bit confused on how that works. The way the picture is it looks like all your pins are at the bottom, which gives little room for the bottom pin to move? Unless all the pins move at once which really doesnt matter if you're only adjusting when you shoot target.

Im probably over thinking this or just too dumb to understand. :busted:
