Holy smokes!! You have a game plan for their change-up?

Wow, they look so similar, would look great on the wall with chocula hanging above center!

Get on 'em. Is that the first you've seen if whistler?

After much... much deliberation, I've decided to hunt to the S this AM by the clearcut & swamp from opening day. I'm going to hang and leave my Elite there. With all the bucks cruising around, I think it'll be a great spot for the next couple weeks. Plus, if the lake freezes up, I'll still be able to get the stand so I can bring it to WI for rifle season.

Plus, this is less than 3/4 mile from where we got those pics of Blade & Whistler and there's a huge doe bedding area between :tu:

So, I'll get packed up and head out soon. It should be a more mild sit, it's 30 now with a high around 40 or 42.

    Bow Hunt Or Die baby!

All settled in. Even with overcast skies, the full moon & 2" snowfall make the headlamp obsolete.

As I'm typing, a wolf pack way off to the S started howling.

Anyway, I wish I had some snow camo, I kinda feel like a dark blob in a winter wonderland. Oh well hopefully I'm high enough that they won't notice.

Now, lets see how it goes!

ahh you'll be fine...undersides of branches are dark and anyway they'll figure you for a giant porcupine or squirrels nest or something - JUST DON"T MOVE if he's looking at you:p

Are you going to hold out for whistler or blade or take the buck if it comes in range?

I think he may still be behind me through a bunch of pines. Either that or he snuck E away from me. He came from the N along my walking trail. He was high stepping but seemed to calm down. The wind was perfect.

I know he didn't cross the cut towards the swamp. I would have seen him for sure.

One buck tag here. Unless he's bigger than I thought, he's safe. Still would like the choice :tu:

I grunted softly a couple times. Waiting a few more minutes and I'll try again.

How many points was he? A buck is a buck though, and always good to see one.
