That's some good stuff right there! Someone had even asked earlier if it was your brothers stand, just not from 2 years ago.

    Good luck tonight!

So i was semi right about the stand lol?!

The might be the best view I've seen from your set ups imo.

I've got the warm and fuzzies about that stand! Quiet tonight, just grouse & red squirrels making chaos.

There will be many hunts from that tree for years to come.

I need to find a better spot to climb up & down the ridge though. Fell on my *** going down on my way out. Luckily it was steep enough that I didn't have far to go before my back was on the ridge. Only bruised my ego.

The ridge is high enough that I should be able to hunt it with any wind that doesn't have a S in it.

Between finding that tree, finding that it was my brother's stand, the approaching cold front and approaching dates... I'm pretty stinking pumped for the next 14 days!

Love that feeling! Happy to hear things are looking and feeling good for you. I too found that tonight in my own hunt!

Well, the wind has shifted to the SW, so I think I'm going to bag the hunt tonight. Been raining off & on all day. Looks like there might be a window of no rain tomorrow until the afternoon, so I'm thinking of a morning sit.

Hope I can find the tree in the dark :busted:

The SW wind would blow my scent right along the ridge, and I know that deer travel & bed that way, so that's why I don't like this direction.

Good Luck. I hope you get him. I am leaving for a Texas trip for 9 days so i will have to catch up with your quest for Blade when I get back. I am bummed about missing the start of the rut here in Mn. Hopefully the deer in North Texas are starting to do some seeking. A bonus will be the turkeys and hogs :)

On my way. I'll give details from the stand. The screen is messing up my night vision.

Ok, first morning sit this season that I actually got in when I wanted to. Now I sit for one hour until shooting light.

Pretty dang dark this AM and there's a light mist in the air. Enough that the trees are dripping but I'm dry. Should be a good sit.

Ground is wet, so the deer are going to be sneaky today. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled.

Actually the song that pops into my head when I read this thread is Knock 'em Dead Kid, Motley Crüe was my favorite band I. The 80's. Europe wasn't bad though, but couldn't stand Poison.

Good luck out there, hopefully it's an eventful morning

when I read your live hunt posts, I get the same feeling that I get when I am in the stand and have deer under me. I can't wait for your next post!

    *#<\€£\>€!|€|$&!!!!!!

Just got winded by something to my E at the edge of the ridge. Single blow and jumped down toward the canoe.

    I blew back.....

Calm right now. Wish that N breeze would start!
