We are sitting at 10 hours and 57 minutes. I must be just north of you. It's amazing how fast our daylight hours dwindle in the north country.

Are you getting out this afternoon?

I included 1/2 hr on each end for shooting light. Sunrise to sunset is 10:54.

I'm gonna go pull my cards in about 30 min. That will have impact on what I'm going to tonight.

No good deer pics, but I did get this...

One of the collared Wolf Center wolves. I need to check their data to see which one it was. Could be the alpha female from the Mitchell Lake pack.

That's pretty cool. Is that a primary blade cam? Wonder how much they affect his routine if so.

I couldn't imagine having to deal with wolves, coyotes are bad enough.

That cam I set up where I have most recently been hunting Blade outside one of his bedrooms. Wolves pass through all the time, the deer are used to it.

FYI, if I'm hunting there and Blade walked that same trail, I could get him at 22 yard broadside on the trail cam video:tu:

Alright, wind suck for setting up on near his bedroom, so I'm electing to head to the same spot I sat opening weekend and shot my doe. I'm not aware of any big boys over there, but I only had my camera there for a couple weeks earlier this season.

I think I might do some rattling and calling there as well. I'm just looking for a change of sceanery and would love to see some deer again! Hunting a bucks bedding area can be lonely...

I'm going to get ready soon, so I have plenty of time to ease in there and hang my stand.

On my way in, I jumped a doe & fawn a couple times. They made their way down into the swamp. I could still hear them walking around a couple minutes ago.

Here's a self portrait on the way in...

Interested as to why you are pulling stands? Theft, scent, or just lack of stands?

Be watching for a curious deer by the name of blade to come looking for the source of the rattling..... Then kill him!
