DrawBack, If you are using tapatalk there should be an advanced options button, otherwise you can use photobucket if you have the mobile app, then copy and paste the IMG link. The quality is better if you use photobucket.

I wish I had a better idea of his width. The only thing I have to go off of is this shot of him in velvet....

Guess I'll have to stick him to find out for sure :tu:

In stand, nice overcast morning, perfect wind, got the camera for some self filming. I have cut corn to the right about 200 yds and standing corn to the left about 300 yards... Please let a deer come within range!!!

Just had six coyotes come through, that's right 6!! 50 yards was the closest, managed to get three on film. Really neat stuff! Explains why I haven't been seeing too many deer around here though. Can't wait to break out the 17 hmr come January!

He's definitely my goal for the season, but come breeding phase who knows what might show up?!?!? I'll shoot him for sure if I get a shot, if not, there's a very good chance I'd be able to hunt him again next year (as long as we don't have an extreme winter & the wolves get him).

    No problem DrawBack.

Well, between the rain and my in-laws coming up this weekend, I'm not sure when I'll be hunting next. I may try and sneak out Sat or Sun morning, otherwise it;ll have to wait until Monday. Look like we might actually get a soft and steady W wind :nana:

It's been crazy windy here, but the temps have fianlly come down to normal. In fact, there's a chance of snow the next few days. Weds & Thurs look like the best days for me to get out next. We'll see I guess.

I was going through organizing files on my laptop yesterday, and I had forggoten just how many videos I have of Blade from last year. I sent my borther an email to see if he has any more photos of him, but in the meantime, I threw together this compilation video of him over the last two years...

OK, looks like the winds are going to be manageable tonight, so I think I'll go out for a sit. I'm going to hang my stand in a new tree across the creek, between the two beaverdams. If nothing else, it will be a good observation stand. I can pick out which dam I'd like to favor. I might even tickle the horns a bit tonight.

It snowed off and on today. No accumulation, but it's got me in the mood. :tu:
More to come from the stand!

    Ok, here's the new view.

Down creek, towards my other stand.

Wish I was a touch closer downstream, but I love the view and my back cover.

I really like the new view. I can see much further up & down the creek. The beavers kept me entertained most of the night. Watched a mink fishing for about a half hour.

Right at dusk a red fox went smoking across the far dam. Man they are quiet!

Felt good to be out again after 8 days. I might only get one or two hunts in the next week. I'm going to be gone mon- weds, but then we'll be staring down Halloween weekend and Nov :tu:

    Good times!
