Looks like I won't be out until Monday night. We have temps right now that are 20+ above average, and the wind isn't good. I could have sat out this evening, but the winds is borderline and we got invited to dinner with my dad & step-mom. Sara will be gone all weekend, so I'll be maning the resort solo.

It'll be fairly good timing though, temps should drop after this weekend, and the solunar charts look good then as well :tu:

Dinner is on the pontoon tonight, so I'm going to pop in and swap cards on one of my cameras since it's only 5 yds off the lake. I'll let you know if I get anything good. Probably more does & wolves :D

Can we get a sticky on this thread already!!!! Im sick of searching for it! love it Fitz, the new Iphone 4s came out yesterday, I was planning on waiting for the Iphone 5 but its a year away... I'll break atleast one until then so I think im gonna pick up the 4s, and the insane archery mount that you use. Your experience with it is good enough for me. they should have you on commissioned sales no joke!

Thanks for the kind words Kyle. I saw that the 4S is here. I was a bit bummed, I was hoping that I'd be able to upgrade my 4 to the new iOS5, but I don't think it's going to work like that. I have a year & a half left before I'm due for an upgrade too. It's all good though, I still love my phone and what I can do with it :tu:

Not much on my camera from this past week. Seem like the hot weather has slowed them down a bit. Still looks like I won't be out until Monday or so, but the temps will be dropping by then. Still looking at 86 days, 9 hours, 41 minutes and 7 seconds of hunting season..... plenty of time!

Sorry but it won't. If you look through this thread you will see that my case mounts to my bow. It won't work with the case you linked to. The case needs to have camera mount screw built in like the xshot I have.

Awesome thread Fitz! I vote for a "sticky!" LOL. Keep up the good work, I really enjoy following your season. I've thought about something similar but after reading yours I realized the boundry waters area you are in makes it special. I'm in Illinois and the terrain is not quite as idyllic. I look forward to future posts and following the REST of your season. Good luck!

Alright, after a mini-hiatus, I'm headed out for a sit. Going to the beaverdam stand. The winds is a little stronger than I'd like and the temps are still warm (72), but I'm ready to be in a tree. Winds should calm as evening aproaches, plus I like the looks of the lunar tables...

Well, I'm off to shower and camo up :tu:

Well, weather sucks again today. Hot and windy! I was trying to figure out if I wanted to sit out tonight, so I decided to take the pontoon out and see what the wind conditions were like. We have dropping temps and rain in the forecast for the next few days, so I decided to check my cameras while I was out.

I've decided to kiss off the hunt tonight and wait for better conditions. I did however manage to get better photos of Blade! The bad news is it was in the middle of the night (all part of the reason I decided not to hunt today).

You can really see his palmations now. I just love the character in his typical 10 frame.

So, looks like I'll be laying low for a couple days, and waiting for the heat, then rain to pass. As the end of October nears, I'm going after him hard. Last year, I saw him from the stand on Nov 2nd, so I'm hoping he doesn't wander too far.

    Here's a couple close-ups...
