Well, only got one buck on the camera I checked. I moved it to a different location further down the same trail. I also increased the sensitivity and switched it to video mode. We'll see if I have better luck.

My other camera I checked was on the doe carcass. The carcass was gone... not a trace. My old Leaf River only managed to catch 3 photos of eagles, so I missed out on the pack  Oh, well. Next time.

Anyways, here's the buck photo I did get. At this point he's getting a pass from me, but we'll see if my feelings change later on in the season.

    Peek-a-boo!

Alright, I'm planning on heading out this afternoon. We have a light S wind. I'm going to walk my Dad into the beaver dam stand that I shot the doe out of, then I'm going to pack my Lone Wolf around to the S edge of the back pond. I'm hoping that the old man will get a chance to break in his eZ7. Mean while, if either of us get busted by a deer, they'll likely head toward the other to get to their initial destination.

Here's a photo showing the plan.

I'll have to dress light and take my time with afternoon temps in the low 70's.

    Time to be the :ninja:

Alright folks, I'm going to try and broadcast Live Video from the stand for part of the night (maybe 15-20 minutes or so). I'm curious how it will work. So, here's my Ustream channel:

    http://www.ustream.tv/channel/northwoods-fitz

I'll let you all know before I go Live. If the link doesn't work, go to the Ustream site and search for "Northwoods Fitz'.

We'll see how my battery holds up! :tu:

Alright. I'm set up further S than I was going to, but there's a huge ridge I'm on overlooking the pond edge. It's nice and open here. Should be a nice sit FTI.

I decided to bench the old town tonight.

    So we used Dad's ride.

Here's the old man getting ready at the beaverdam stand.

That'll suck down your battery! About 1% a minute. I'll just broadcast ifi think something is going to happen.

Pretty uneventful night, it was beautiful though! Very dry and crunchy in the woods. I could hear mice at 25+yds!

At one point I think a deer made it's way between my dad & I, could have crossed at the other dam. Not 100% though.

The new spot is awesome, I think I'll like it better when the pre-rut kicks into gear.

Not sure when I'll hunt next. I'll have to check the weather in the AM.

Congrats Fitz on all your success.

What is the dragging device you have strapped to your nanny's face?

No, they're both adults. The photos are a bit decieving because I have the camera 9' up a tree.

It's a Drag Buddy. I love using it for does. My dad has one of those cables with a padded handle and it works too, but the Drag Buddy is way more solid. Plus it keeps the does head higher off the ground, so it makes it easier to drag through & around brush.

I even leave it on and hang the deer for processing with it too.
