Looks like I'm going to head out tonight again. Same spot as last night. Just too entertaining:tu: I think I'll bring my Canon point & shoot so I can zoom in and get some video of all the creatures.

    Off to get ready!

Got to see the otters for a brief moment tonight. Man they are fun to watch. Beaver is working on his lodge right now, funny how they can walk on their hind legs and carry stuff. The kingfisher has been fishing too. Time flies by in this stand for sure!

Did a few soft grunts earlier and a light tickling of the horns. Time to wait out darkness.

An owl just scared the crap out of me. I just got to the base of my tree and "WHOO!"

He had to be about 30yds away. Beautiful night. I could hear the Ely marching band almost 5 miles away! Just the drums thought :)

Here's a video of the beaver working on his lodge from tonight. It's funny to see them walking on two legs!

...and here's my buddy the kingfisher.

Well, all our guests from this weekend have left, and the chores are done. So it looks like I'm going to get a bonus hunt tonight!

I'm gonna grab my cards and head to the corner stand where I've been getting my photos of Blade. Might try a light rattle & grunting to entice him in.

Got a great light West wind too. What a treat :tu:

Ok, change of plans. Pulled the card close to the beaverdam and had numerous pics of blade. The only reason I wanted to sit in the corner was that had been where his pics were. The new pic are much closer to shooting light. Ran to the corner & pulled
The card there. No blade. As I sat trying to decide if I wanted to go back to the dam, a pack of wolves starts howling to the north. That's the direction he's been comin from.

So I'm back at the dam now, hoping the pack about 1 mile N will get him on his feet a little earlier tonight.

Well, fun sit but no deer.

Saw a mink, grouse, the beavers, eagle, and a bunch of other birds.

Didn't hear from the wolf after the first two rounds either.

Now it's off to Rochester for a couple nights, then back home weds night. We'll see what Thursday brings. My brother-in-law is coming thurs am to grouse hunt for the weekend. He'll have to go solo for some of it :ninja:

My plan is to go take down my stand in the SW corner and place it near the 2nd dam. If all goes well that's where I'll sit tonight. I'll be pulling my camera too. Probably place it near the new set.

    Shower time.

The snow is starting to melt off the trees a bit, but conditions are perfect for moving my stand.

Just realized that I forgot my sd card to swap on the trail cam. Oh well, only 3 days since I changed it out anyways.
