Shot this buck yesterday on public land here in IL...when he ran into nearby ravine, I heard the loudest crashing and popping I have ever heard a deer make...well, ends up his right antler was busted just above base when I got to him. I searched and did find the first part of main beam with his G1, G2, and G3...still missing the remainder which I'm sure had a G4 and remaining beam (hope to head out after a heavy rain to look when leaves matted down). At this point - does any of this right antler count - the break is clean and antler fits right back into place like a puzzle piece (I can provide more pics). No biggie either way - just need to know how to handle - Thanks!
I would say it counts, as long as there's pics of the clean break and it fitting back together. I would also say that if you find the other tine and can properly measure the whole rack, it will count too. That's my opinion.
I would have to agree with dan too. But playing devils advocate If we are going by the book to score then it wouldnt count becasue its not attached. Im glad I dont have to make the call cause either way he is gonna catch hell. But that is a beautiful buck. I have a great taxidermist here in illinois if you need one that can fix that rack.

I'm absolutely fine with it and would have no problem if another team had the same issue. I agree with Dan that there should be extra pictures involved to show the clean break and how the rack fits together. Good job, BZ! Great buck!
Team 35 captain here. Anything he finds that is obviously cleanly broke and pics to show I say it counts. Just my .02 for what it is worth if Fitz wants captain opinions.

I am really glad to see everyone chimming in on tis but. Before we all start getting his hopes up I think we should wait to hear from fitz. We may all feel like it would be ok but Fitz has the last call and we just might make him look bad if he feels that it should not count. Again I would not want to have to make this decision I wish BZ and fitz the best on this one

I appreciate the favorable responses guys - but truly makes no difference to me - let's wait and see. #1 - I highly doubt this has any impact on who takes first place this year, but also surprised this hasn't happened until this year... #2 - regardless, the memories made yesterday trump this outcome as they say, $hit happens... Now if this was a 200 incher - maybe I'd be crying the blues
Knowing fitz it will count. Which most of us would agree with. I just didnt want the pressure put on him by everyone else and for you to get slammed. Your right Dan I over think everything I do bad habit
