Does anyone do any kind of work out specifically geared twords bow hunting? Anything from focusing on specific muscle groups to special kinds of cardio?

Yep I push wheelbarrows full of horse crap up hill, cut down trees and split them up, among other assorted work around the ranch.

I just shoot because it keeps the muscles I use in shape. I'm not very strong at all but I can still pull my bow at 71-72lbs very easily in any position.

Well shooting is always the best but sometimes weather doesn't allow you to shoot so the gym is the next best thing. Shoulders, Chest, Rotator cuffs, bi's, tri's, traps and lats the main muscles used. Some are used more then others but they all matter. If you can try to work these out during the winter so you don't begin to lose any muscle while your not shooting. when it comes to cardio, its pretty much all good as long as you can feel your heart working harder. I like to do quick sprints (1-5 miles) after a work out but a stairmaster is also amazing.

I try to keep my cardio up so I don't wear out walking to the stand.
