I retired on 2009. Wife retired in 2017. I had eight years of hunting and fishing during the week. There was a condition: I did the yard work and housework. I didn't expect her to work as a school director and then come home to face those chores.

Cold fishing looks like. Could be very slow bite!

Yep, but it will be time well spent starting a new friendship. Catching fish will be a bonus.

So yesterday it was cold, rainy and windy. Caught 2 and about froze our butt off. Today was still cold but we managed a limit by mid afternoon.

I have been stuffed in a clothes dryer had it turned on, I have been hit by a car, set on fire, shot in the head, surrounded by fire, was burned by a gas fire in a faulty grill connection no ER visit, a shark bite scar would go with all the other scars.

Looks like the tide chart is not favorable for us and moon phase etc. Not worth paying a guide we will just live line shrimp with circle hooks from kayaks. We will not get skunked.

I spent the last five days fishing in Tennessee. We caught a total of 124 keeper bass.

I caught two nice ones but my son in law caught a real bucket mouth. 8 1/2 pounds.

The way those dorsal fins point together, looks like you are trying to be a bikini model, I have to say that I do not think that is the right way for you to come out of retirement.

Son of a blow torch fishing today was brutal, too windy to fish from the kayak so we went to a barnacle reef and waded. My body has all kinds of cuts from falling. Sliced my foot big time not ideal to be wading in saltwater bleeding, I was spraying blood with the pulse, of course my wife argued with me about how it should be dealt with, No way in hell am I paying an ER copay for a flesh wound, turmeric and super glue $12 at cvs.

Second time my wife and I have had arguments in Florida about going to the ER the other time was the grill explosion that burned my legs. She thinks pain tolerance is ignorance, guess I must be the most ignorant SOB.

Also good to know turmeric will stop heavy bleeding, it stings a little though.

Getting ready to head down to Dale Hollow Saturday for a week. It's our annual trip. Will be ten of us this year. This is my fourty second year to make this pilgrimage.

We eat like kings, laugh like hyenas, drink a few adult beverages, tell big fish stories, and do our best to rip the lips off big ole smallmouths.

I am pretty sure there may be pictures of a fish or two posted.
