I use my finders to find channels , drop off or structure then I attack. With this new one I can set a jog and keep at a certain depth, should be killer for walleye.

I know they work well, I know they make a difference. I prefer to be more social when ice fishing.

I have 1 flasher and jr uses it while I fish staring at a string bobber. Guess who catches more fish! I like the screen fishing but never get to use it, but that’s ok with me.

I’ve had top of the line vexilars and several cameras. Don’t get out so much any more so sold them all on Facebook. I found a dirty old FL8 at a garage sale last summer for $10. I cleaned it up for a bit of ice fishing close to home this year. Shows me the depth and some suspended fish if they are right under me. All I need anymore.
I was a bit upset when a new battery cost me 5 times what the vex cost.

Gotta say I'm loving my new 115 ProXS. It makes my deep v17 get up and go. As always boat trouble catches me every time I come down here. Had to replace both trolling motor batteries. Fished for an hour after we got here, and poof they went from 12.2 to 10.5 volts. Had them replaced in an hour and a half, and was back at it fishing for the last couple hours before dark.

For the price they aren't a bad rod, and they will take a beating. I wouldn't say they're a "good" rod in the big scheme of things. But they will certainly catch plenty of fish!

Thanks guys , saw one for 16.00 on amazon. I have my good rig but need a small easy to maneuver rod . Easy to handle with a fish net in other hand. You know ,without flipping the kayak....knowing me.

Only rod I use to kayak fish because things happen when kayaking, never had one break.

Used to sell wholesale sporting goods. Sold a ton of Ugly Stiks. However, I saw a guy bragging on his...bent the rod too close to the tip and snapped it.
