Yes I am all set up but screw using an ice saw, put vegetable oil in the saw and flip the chain on the saw backwards, much easier.
You carry all of that out in the trunk of your oldsmobile? I will have to watch some videos on spearing, I know nothing about it.
Not a problem at all. the portable is on a sled that gets pulled by a 4 wheeler. Roads on the lake are plowed now too.

The Mississippi is froze over up by me, even parts south of the nuke plant are froze over. Going to take the boys out to see if we can catch a few fish this weekend.
SIL is coming by tomorrow evening to sit on the pond with me. We're going to try to get enough for a fish fry.
Neighbor 2 doors down pulled his wheelhouse out, the Friday night fishing is back on. Will make it so much easier to take the grandsons out, keep them entertained. Neighbor is a great guy he gave me a key to the house, I leave my camera and humminbird for him to use. I learned the hard way to not let others use mine inline reels so I take those home with me.
Didn’t scale them, maybe you’re seeing the snow from storing them in a bucket. I finally broke and used an electric knife. Have always used a rapala fillet knife but everyone says electric is the way to go. So I tried it and then ordered an electric fillet knife. Definitely quicker and I didn’t lose any meat. Cut through the ribs, flip, and fillet off the skin.
I've been waiting for a warm up, and it's coming this next week. Come Wednesday morning I should be chasing winter smallmouth on Dale Hollow with my brother and our buddy that guides on the lake.
