You are about same age as me. What do we have 20-25 yrs in the work force give or take? Seems like a long time. Too old to feel young and too young to feel old, us 80’s babies are at the top of the hill. I hope we are able to enjoy a retirement one day.

My son is very hard to handle. Typical 4y.o. Boy with some added challenges haha. But i had him focused this trip. We filled a bucket up of these gills. If i would have been by myself i would have filled a cooler. Pretty hard fighting wind with no anchor and unsnagging /baiting/ taking fish off of 2 kids rods. Id do it all over again in a second though. Better than a cooler full of fish. IMG_8210.jpeg IMG_8209.jpeg IMG_8208.jpeg IMG_8213.jpeg IMG_8212.jpeg IMG_8214.jpeg

Took up a new hobby awhile back. I have been trying to learn how to tie smallmouth jigs. We'll I am getting there. Did a shad, crayfish and perch pattern this morning.

I do not know why rapala quit making the husky jerks in the clown pattern, smallies on the Mississippi could not resist, unless you were throwing a perch pattern.

Caught one of my best (17") wild brown trout this season on an unstocked Natural Reproduction stream just two miles from my home.

My trout fishing would sicken any true trout fisherman, I have fished the Brule river and many other streams and small rivers using live bait.
