My son had his last baseball games of the season on Friday, so I took the entire day off work and went fishing in the morning. Caught a pile of largies and a few decent ones in the bunch. It was a great morning to be out on the water, watching the sun rise, drinking coffee, and enjoying life. I wish I could do that every day.
Down at Hilton Head having a wild trip fishing wise. Caught some spinners off the beach surf fishing. Went offshore today and caught 20+ cobia, multiple barracudas, king mackerel, bull shark and we caught a Goliath grouper. The shark was 300lbs, the grouper was 5-600lbs. Had an absolute blast. Once I get the pics from the go pro I’ll post them.
This Goliath Grouper was the 3rd known one to be caught in Hilton Head SC, pretty wild and fought like a train!
So I need to rig a fishing boat, I have the electronics just need a trolling motor and some batteries and wiring. Making the go fast back into a real fishing boat as it deserves.
It is ordered. I feel better bringing the boat back to what it was made to do. I live less than 45 minutes from Mille Acs and the boat if perfect for big water. My wife is headed up north this week to fish big smallies, she wishes she had "her" boat ready.
I will be doing the same this upcoming week Sota, I picked up a new 16’ tin boat to duck hunt and fish the local 25hp restricted lakes. Bought all the electronics and trolling motor just need to find the time to knock the project out.
Had a great 6 days fly fishing in Alaska , flew in and fish the Kvichek and Nushagak among others … Mainly for Silvers and Rainbows, but we also caught Sockeye, Loads of Pinks, Chum, Dollys, and Grayling on drys
