I probably have 2 or 3 trips left to the lake before the boat gets put up for the winter. I went last Friday after work and caught a pile of largies, but nothing of any size. Water temps still 70 degrees so I don't think the switch has flipped quite yet for the fall bite. Hopefully soon, but this weather certainly isn't cooperating. Temps are forecasted to be nearly 80 degrees on October 1.
Never in a million years would I have thought on my birthday I'd have the chance to catch a monster bull red. Fish of a lifetime for me. Sent from my SM-S911U using Tapatalk
With the weather so hot decided to take my 7 year old grandson fishing. Had a great time. Very proud of him. Fished from 7:00 a.m. until 4:30 with no complaints. Will be one of my cherished memories.
Wife is going to hate me but I am going when conditions peak, if she is done with school or not. Been texting our regular guide, told him I have open dates on short notice during the week. Just want a couple scales. I am torn about catching a bunch of juvenile tarpon, in the Tampa, Terria Cia, bay the sharks move in on the big ones when you hook them.
That’s on my list too. I’ve hooked up but never put my hands on a big one. I had a trip planned a couple years ago but had to cancel. I’ll be interested to hear how you make out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I fished for them once had no luck but it was not prime time. Guide had a big chum bag out, saw a massive shark come up and roll, my wife vowed to never wade fish with me again.
