I stumbled into a guy selling a 2022 Lund 1775 Impact XS with all the options I was looking for. He's almost 70 and bought it last year, thinking he would spend his retirement fishing all the time. He used it three times and decided it was just too much for him, so he's unloading it.

It doesn't look like things will work out in time for this weekend, but that's okay. We should have it wrapped up next week when I get back in town, which will give me plenty of time to fish this summer after my son's baseball season ends. Hopefully we get some warmer weather so I can pull them around the tube a few times as well.

Had an amazing trip to Lake of the Woods. It never disappoints. We caught hundreds and hundreds of fish. The smallmouth were on the boulders around the islands in shallow water and would hit absolutely anything you threw at them. We even caught some on top-water for fun. Our largest smallie was 21". My best fish for the trip were a 28 1/2" walleye that went over 8lbs, a 20" smallmouth, a 48" musky and a 38" northern. We had so much fun that we are talking about going back up this Fall for a few more days.

Bailed on work today to breathe the fresh Canadian fire / smog air haha. Got 7 walleye and 10 or so SMB, this is the biggest SMB I caught on the river in a long time, crushed a spook walking it by the lock. Also the biggest walleye on the river, my buddy caught it.

Trying a lake I haven’t been to since I was a kid this weekend called Fishtrap Lake. Large variety of fish but want to try finding some walleye.

I’ve had good luck around rock piles and by the locks/spillways with worm harnesses. Good luck

What color spook? My favorite color is black. I remember the first spook I bought, took it out of the box 1st cast a smallie. Love that lure.

I have 4 days off and no guests this weekend, going to take the wife out to the weedline and do a little over the top fishing. Sucker minnow on a bobber and throw a crank bait around the minnow. Have a 4" Rapala glass perch medium suspending minnow, love that lure too. Beer and sunshine.

It was bone white with red eyes, the bigger one. This one was 2nd cast haha. Love that lure as well.
