Trout opener starts April1. Daughter is in an area with many trout streams. I've never heard her angery about hunting or fishing "pukes" but she was hot last night. Apparently the area streams were packed like they normally are on opening day.

Nothing for my son and I today. Couldn’t beat the weather. Got him out of being in front of the tv. Currently doing dishes and jamming out and having a couple pops. 236AC557-F0D2-473F-8A91-1F499EEAA1BA.jpeg 5BC01CEF-84F2-4DAA-8B37-0D88A499E602.jpeg BBF6E010-3675-4A9E-B026-0092EDD3AC4B.jpeg E45C80EE-68FF-49CF-843A-A63527616159.jpeg C16C3AA7-2BCF-48F7-B04C-B0B91EA8B193.jpeg image.jpg

Luckily it snowed again while I was gone, and more in the forcast. Wonder if the dock will be in before Memorial weekend? Also heard the ice is a mess with 3" of water and slush on top of the ice, sucks.

My wife has cabin fever bad, she has been watching salt water fishing shows. Saw a recipe for grilled mangrove snapper, now I want to go. Soon as school is out we are going. Excited I will be able to sit in a kayak for more than 2 hours.

Had a fairly decent day fishing even though the wind was out of the east and it was chilly.

What were the bait of choice today? I’m guessing rattletrap or spinners?

I was using a chartreuse/white spinnerbait. It’s the only thing they would bite.

Spur of the moment fishing trips are the best. Taking advantage of the great weather next week to bust some small mouth bass on Dale Hollow. Water temps right... Check! Weather temperature right... Check! Time of year.... Check! Fishing attitude over the top.. Check!

Big hopes to post up the carnage next Sunday!

I am kinda getting to the point I prefer salt water fishing, so much more tactical. Never been skunked saltwater fishing, then again saltwater with tides and wind so much easier to predict.

Spent Easter weekend down at the farm with the family. The kids absolutely slayed bluegills and crappies, I ended up with quite a few bass, including this jumbo pictured below!

    Sounds like a great weekend.

I’m always amazed how a good arm extension can make a 6 pounder look like an 8 pounder or a 120” buck look like a 150” buck.
