I should have dumped them live on the ice by the otter hole by the island in the bay. Good tip though will do that tomorrow.

I thought you had a couple of those little couch lizards?
Those short legs won’t make it to the woods with the snow we have?

    That's bad but not like...

The chihuahua is that bad, she would swim thru the snow to get to something she shouldn't.

Just be careful, I think it's technically illegal to dump bait fish into lakes and rivers in MN. (everyone does it anyhow)

Looking at the weather looks like thing are looking up. Best ice fishing is when your holes do not freeze up from the night before when the crappies have that purple shean.

Been wanting a fresh fish dinner. Ice went off the ponds yesterday. I slid down to my farm pond and caught a small mess for dinner tonight.

No ice fishing for me. I don't even trust the ice on my pond!

What ice? We have had barely any safe ice yet again this year. My gear stayed high and dry just like the last few years. Nice catch

We had one day of safe ice. I caught a good mess of gills then. Since then my lakes have had skim ice on and off many times. Yesterday was a warm window of opportunity to cast a line. Fish were caught in 2 to 3 foot of water on ice jigs and wax worms.... I use a weighted casting cork and a foot below it a ice jig bobber with a jig a couple foot below it... Been catching fish on this rig for years.

Sturgeon spearing season opens tomorrow on Lake Winnebago and lasts one week or until quotas have been hit. Ice is about 8-9". 13k people have their permit.

How many idiots put their truck in the drink?
