Also learned I have to be within 200' of my tip ups. 200' feet from the living room the water is 18 feet deep. Pike limit 10. Pike back straps thru the ice are as good as any minnesota fish. I can make Sunday dinner for the family and have 8 tip ups out.

I hate personal watercraft even more than snowmobilers and that is saying something. It's the sound of the damn things it is like a mosquito buzzing around your ear when you are trying to sleep.

St. Croix should really change it’s name to Curt’s Screen Door in honor of how much profit they’ve made off that damn door this year. I could just about have hired a full-time personal doorman for the summer and broken even with what it would’ve saved me in fishing rods.

I decided I am having blue gill for breakfast tomorrow morning, threw back some beauties this morning. Not sure why on a bumble bee fly I catch bigger than average size fish.

Thought I was done with the project boats, have an opportunity to buy a Lund Tye E that needs a new floor at a good price. Would be a bigger than I need fishing platform but I have never heard anyone say I wish this boat was smaller.

Think today was my last fishing day of the year. I fished more this year than I have since I was in my 20s. Kept me sane....caught about 10 fish and one of them was a 3lb bass.

Saw the photo of the drain plug. I had an Aluma Craft boat the had a wooden "liner" on the transom. I found a long stainless steel leader- clipped one end to the plug and the other end was attached to the wood with a screw. Never left home without a drain plug.

So yesterday I went to the bait shop, asked me where I was going fishing I said I am not telling you. Guy says well then I can't tell you what they are biting on, I said I don't need help. This a-hole will call into the sportsman's press and say the fish are really biting on the lakes around his bait shop. Then you get a bunch of people on the lake keeping 7" crappie.

You must walk looking over shoulder all day long?
