Are you close to Vermillion lake? We made the trip one time up there for the opener(2004) and it’s one of the best fishing trips I’ve done. A flashy jerk bait worked well for pike when we were there. Would love to get back there sometime.
I primarily bass fish but have used the whopper plopper with some success... I wouldn't recommend the smaller sizes as they just dont do much in the water. The bigger ones create more commotion and splash so i would think that would be better for pike or musky. Personally, id rather stick to a traditional spook or popper for topwater fishing.
Thinking about getting my dad a chartered fishing trip for walleye for Father’s Day. I’ve got the bug to fish bad and we are not getting ice anytime soon here. Any 2 day trip advise welcome.
Defiantly hurt not injured, rub some dirt on it. Plus that is what you get for being a grown man wearing flip flops.
Ha, ok. If I may ask why you think it is terrible? I love it, so I really don't care, just more curious than anything.
I personally think it looks pretty awesome showed it to my wife and said I want to do that as one of my next mounts! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thanks! I kinda forgot how much he likes to troll. My 3 yo son is still scared to walk around it, lol
So I brought my big Penn saltwater up and mated it with a semi stiff 6' ugly stick as a trolling rig and heavy casting. Put in the rod holder infront of the side council and oh my let the ice melt.
Shape/ face /contour/color is horrid! Looks like a student's first mount. But it's yours and you're happy
I have a taxidermist friend that has talked me into keeping a box of borax in the boat. Evidently if you apply borax to a fish it preserves the colors. That and take lots of pictures of the fish so the colors can be accurately matched.
My wife wants to come with to fish, kinda lucky that way, except I have to take fish off for her, tie on lures etc.
