34’ but it is a Regulator so it’s pretty narrow and isn’t as big and spacious as you would typically think of a 34’.

Been map scouting some upper James River fishing trips. If my sons health continues to improve I'd like to take him on a day float trip and crush the smallmouths.

    Long live fishing!

This article from Arkansas Game and Fish has some good ideas. I think I am going to try the hot dogs dipped in kool aid and garlic with my kids. Should be fun to make with them even if it does not catch fish.

The best bait for catfish is live bluegill or shad
night crawlers work good. I’ve had my best luck with cut shad and live bluegill

Shocker thanks for the advice man. I went out fishing the other day on a pressured pond. Started catching some bluegills and said the heck with it and put one of the smaller ones on a second set up. I threw it out and within 5 minutes about a 10 lb catfish comes up and rolls it twice. I overreacted and missed the fish. But lesson learned! Ive always been mostly a plastic worm fisherman so this catfish stuff is new to me.

You’ll get him next time! The the bigger the bait the bigger the fish! Are you using Circle hook?

Holy crap we pounded the crappies tonight, weirdest thing ever caught them on medium diving rapalas in the perch pattern, nice ones too honest half pounders. Thing is I was fishing beerless no cooler in the boat nothing to keep the fish in so they all went back.

Great time to catch them on crankbaits though. Post spawn can still be unbelievable. Although I was the photographer and not the angler this is One of the better of what we’ve been getting into. 14-1/2” about 1.75lb. A lot of .75-1.25lb in the 9-12” Range. A few 15”- ers here and there. 05322A56-EA3E-4DCB-8A94-F949A4DED35D.jpeg

Once you find a school of them And you present what looks good to them it’s on! That’s what I love about them. Can’t wait for white bass soon
