Post pics up. Tired of the tangled mess every time I go to get one. Any body made some nice wall racks?

I made a nice one for my grandpa a couple years back. It was two horizontal 1x4s, but made out of oak. On the top one, I made another 1x1 piece an cut a half circle out for the rod to lay in. I then used snap swivels to keep the rods from falling out when sitting vertically on the wall. For the bottom piece, I think I made a 1x3, and used a flat drill bit to form a recessed cup for the handles to sit in.

It's nicer than it sounds, I'll have to see if I have some pics when I get home later

I don't have this exact one but mine look simular. I have a few of them hanging on the walls around my room. Super easy to make.

I leave mine in the rod locker of the boat so that's probably not much help. If I wanted to put something together cheap though I'd buy rod socks for each and hang from an eye hook overhead somewhere. If you have decent rods, you don't want to leave them leaning against a wall for a long time, but hanging will be OK for them. I use rod socks even in the locker, they never get tangled and it keeps them clean, I can keep a good 15 or so rod setups in there with no problems pulling them out or putting them in quickly if I'm using the sock.

At my old place I just had about 1" screw in hooks in the ceiling. throw the pole in that and the pole would balance itself when you put it about 8" from the reel.

put one of them over each rod for sure. I keep mine in my boat, and without them they tangle up good for sure. But with them, its almost impossible to tangle up. The only thing that gets messed up is sometimes you end up getting a treble hook caught up in one lol. But them darn things will hook anything thats not a fish no matter what!

Open some hole in your garage and use the space in between the studs. In set rod holders into the wall.

If I had more than my current 4 poles, I'd do something like this on the ceiling of the garage :tu: You could even just use rubber coated hooks.

I like the hangers on the ceiling but my pole barn ceiling is 10' high. Will probably do something similar between the poles. Thanks guys!

I saw some that were similar to that, but the guy used PVC pipe instead. it was pretty slick. I have been meaning to make some for a while now.
