First Woman's Grand Slam (Updated Article)

Here's a message from my guide friend Cole's Outfitter; www.FreelanceOutdoorAdventures.com.
Cole guided this woman to her final animal in her Grand Slam; this beautiful Dall's sheep.

It is DONE!!!!! The first woman archery Slammer! Anna Norris-Vorisek shot an 11 year old 36 1/4" Ram to complete her Grand Slam. It took 8 hard days of putting up with horrible weather to finally be able to work in close enough to close the deal. Anna was in great shape and her and her husband (Ken) were a joy to have in camp. Guides Cole and Jake did a great job! Congratulations Anna!!!

My goodness what an animal....I can only imagine the feeling of taking one, much less all 4, with a bow!

    Congrats to her!

Amazing accomplishment! And yes, that is one beautiful animal right there. That's a dream hunt in itself, let alone all of her previous hunts. Evidently money isn't one of their concerns! Can you imagine what it cost to complete the Grand Slam?

That's awesome! A Grand Slam with a bow is the ultimate to me.

Wow, thanks for posting Rob. We were talking about sheep hunting coming back through the Continental Divide last week... HAS to be the most arduous hunting there is.

    Congratulations to her!

Not to diminish the accomplishment which is certainly a brutal hunt but I think Will will back me up when I say that it's got nothing on late season goat hunting. Sheep are sissies compared to mountain goats.

Speaking of which, when are you going after your goat?

When I get back from mule deer hunting in CO with Will and the gang. The season opened on the 8/20 but I'm waiting for them to grow their hair in thicker and for Cole to get back from sheep hunting so that I can maybe cash in a couple favors he owes me. ;) It's nice having a young pack mule around.
