The past few nights I've been spending a lot of time messing with video encoding, trying to get the quality of our videos a little better. I think I'm finally figuring it out and got my first "HD" video posted to YouTube. It's the same video of the doe I shot this year that I've already posted, just a little better quality. Still playing with the color curves, saturation, gamma, brightness etc to get it just right but I think it's pretty cool. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j4hPiNWFbWM Make sure you click the HD video in the lower right corner of the player to see it at full resolution. EDIT - I'll be editing and re-encoding some of the older videos on the site over the next week or so, which should help with some of the crappy quality on those first few that we did. And starting next month we should have 2-3 videos a month being posted in the Video section of the site, and on the home page. For those of you who look at it. :D
Yeah, looked really good. I watched them both back/back and the HD version is MUCH better, no question. A little dark in spots, little blurry in spots, but that could my computer or youtube.... Did you ever decide what your string hit? That sounded horrible....
I'm 99% sure it was my harness. I have since "removed" the chest strap so that won't be happening anymore. :D And thanks for the comments. I posted two more HD videos yesterday, and will be working on another one in the next few days.
I didn't personally, but a few of the guys in camp did. We were busy killing deer while they were sight seeing and dillydallying around. :D
