Yesterday i went out for my first sit of the year and it was great. The morning started off horrible because i left my trail cams on standby so no pics for 2 weeks . Well i got up in the stand and started talking with my dad and all of a sudden i hear running behind me. I look back and i see a group of 4 or 5 turkeys running toward me. I get my bow ready as they came to about 10 yards from my stand. I was not completely in position, so as was slowly turning one of the turkeys looked up at me and knew something wasn't right and started acting nervous. The act of the one hen made the others want to leave so as they were starting to walk away i arrowed the one that was causing all of the problems. This is my first turkey and i could not be happier with her. I shot her right in the heart and anchored her right on the spot. Here she is This one proves that it was with a bow
Nice job! Been waiting to get my new bow for turkey season here in NJ, but Hurricane Sandy came in on opening day. Darn
