Don't sweat it brother. You win some, you lose some. All it takes is more research and PLENTY of patience.

I still have a few cams out on scrapes and still getting pics there every day, try looking for a trail entering a food source the muddy trails are easy to find right now,set your cam facing down the trail as it will give the cam more time to react, also put the cam 3-4 foot off the ground so you dont get the small game wasting you battery's.
    good luck.

    Ultra max,
That was exactly my next move. Changing location and putting out two cameras this time, facing north if possible.
I am waiting for the second camera to arrive.

I am definitely looking for a trail and will put some deer food out. Hunt on a private property second yr,still trying to figure out deer movement between farms/woods.

Will choose two different ends of property with the cameras. I am learning for sure- will be really excited to finally get some deer in the pics for sure!

    Finally Success!

Well three is a charm.:) IMAG0026.jpg IMAG0037.jpg IMAG0038.jpg IMAG0039.jpg IMAG0040.jpg IMAG0041.jpg IMAG0042.jpg Tried three different locations since the season ended, each for a week...this one had deer- 3 does mostly at night but I did feel that this area may be a trail area for them and at night and one day pic it proved correct. Exciting as this is my first set of Trail Cam pics of DEER! Even got some raccoons... Now I have two cameras, DLC Covert and Primos Truth 35. This was set to pics and I got 90 on the DLC and 875 on the Primos in 8 days time. I have to set the sensitivity up a bit and the timing as well. I put out some Deer Corn in both areas each time...but this time the deer got it, not the squirrels and blue jays. I am learning and thanks to everyone, I am thinking and analyzing where I put these, direction, paths, daylight, night, winds, temperature, relative humidity, pressure & thermals etc....Can't wait to put them out again...and later on see a buck when antlers are in fashion......!

It is surely addicting as I thought of them each day and stopped by coming home from my first 3D shoot on Saturday to pick them up. Had great fun at the shoot, met a new friend, and got Deer pics on my Trail Cam...a good day for sure.

I got my first one last year. I played with it for a while leading up to season. I found this to work good for me, pick a small tree that is clear all the way around. every week when I would go check it, i would rotate it 90 degrees so figure out the most used path by or yummy brown friends. from there it gives you a better idea on where to put your stand. It helps our craving for hunting in the off season.

here is a link to my music video I put together from my trail cam. http://youtu.be/L2upeD4b0eY

can't wait to get my next one (or three)

    Johnston,
Thanks for sharing your pics. In The Mood brought back memories of HS band when I played that on trumpet. Looks like you all had fun and success! Hope I get a Buck to show up this season...no doubt I will
Hope you continue to have fun with your cam.
