    this or similar has been around for a while I believe ... just slide it up/down the string a few mil's at a time for minor rotational changes ...

    Yes, this has been done with a small piece of braided cord through the string above the peep, will do the same thing.
    I'm just guessing, but I'd imagine that it was something a Tech would rather not do. Then you don't bring your bow in for them to press it and adjust the string twist.

    A quality balanced string with the correct twists (top/bottom) and tied in properly and one usually wont have a peep twist problem .. I will admit sometimes it is frustrating trying to get things just right ..
