I think I'm gonna cut down a few trees near my stand on top of a hill this year to open up for some sunlight and try to plot a small food plot. I've never planted one before so I'm hoping I can get some advice on what brands or what type of crop grows the best. Right now I'm leaning towards a clover patch or radishes. I'm just hoping I can create enough sunlight for it to succeed

When ever I put a new plot in I start winter winter wheat, it grows as close to no till as possible it helps build up the soil and it really helps the next thing you plant grow with less weeds than if you went right to clover or another crop.

I didn't know that about the winter wheat Sota. We had winter wheat in this year.

It will clog up a tiller if you try to till it into the soil green too.
