    Hi there,

I've gotten into Archery and bow hunting this year and I'm trying to figure out the best type of broadhead I should be using and would love some input.

I'm using 340 spine gold tip hunters, I'm just very new and I'm not sure if theres a specific type of broadhead I should be looking at. I'm in NYS so it needs to be compliant with the laws here.

    Which are -

    Here's a more detailed breakdown:
    • Cutting Edges: Broadheads must have a minimum of two sharpened cutting edges.
    • Cutting Diameter: The cutting diameter of the broadhead must be at least 7/8 inches.
    • Barbed Broadheads: Protrusions on the broadhead that create a hook or impede withdrawal are prohibited.
    • Mechanical Broadheads: Expandable broadheads are legal as long as they meet the minimum cutting diameter and are barbless
any input or advice will be incredibly appreciated

Most Broad heads fall into those categories. NOT ALL BUT MOST
    its Personal preference
try a couple if you are able to, to see what flies well with your set up!!!! (Minimal tweaking of your site/bow the better. )

@BigDiesel92 , what is your draw length, your bow poundage and how long are your arrow shafts?
