OK, finally getting all of this together. To start out I got the first picture of this deer in December 2012. That was that until June when I found his shed while cutting hay. Anticipation grew as season approached, but 0 sightings with 0 trail can pictures. Until....December 2013. Almost exactly one year later. This would be his last appearance, 15 minutes after that picture was taken my uncle shot him chasing a doe. It was bitter sweet when I got the phone call that he had killed him, especially since I was heading down in under three hours. But I was very excited for my uncle, he is the reason I got into hunting! On the wall... Good deer for our area, and first deer I've had that much history with. Eventhough it wasnt much.
Great buck and story!! Yep, sometimes you have to pay your dues and let the one's who showed you the way get the big boy. You'll get your turn!!
Thanks guys, but I didn't ask for comments on the mount, its not mine and I didn't mount it. The thread is about the history.
Its always nice to have history on a deer even if you aint the one that gets the privilege to harvest him!! Congrats, BTW cool trail cam angle.
If someone was posting the history of a car with a hideous paint job, I would ask who painted it. Sorry
